Intense garnet, purple fading to ochre on the rim. Ripe cherries over subtle toasty aromas, hints of strawberries, candied orange zest, mineral touch. Medium-bodied, red berry fruit, light-bodied and fresh, nicely structured, mineral-salty, integrated acidity, red cherry finish.

Such an expressive nose, peony, coffee granules, vanilla, burnt caramel, milk chocolate, redcurrants, blackcurrants - you get so many aromatics. The floral fruit really to the fore - juicy and softly succulent. Mouthwatering acidity gives this a brightness and an almost black cherry sweetie flavour with the limestone minerality and salinity coming in quickly and taking over in terms of flavour and a wet stone texture. It's unfussy but bright and very drinkable - lively and playful. Easy to drink with herbal strawberry and blackberry leaf elements coming through on the finish with a real minty freshness. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. 3.70pH. The soil here has some right bank character - limestone and clay soil with some Cabernet Sauvignon planted on gravels.
