Delivery Time

  • 23/11/2023 [An Update from The Wine Collective] - We are experiencing higher than usual order volumes (We knew our Black Friday offers were great), our usual dispatch times mentioned below may be delayed, but we will get your wine dispatched asap - thank you for your patience.

  • Ready for delivery products: your items will be shipped from our Sydney warehouse within same or next business day of placing your order. Depending on your location, the delivery time will vary between 2 and 10 business days.

  • Marketplace products: we list products that we source from our many Wine Collective Partners. As these products come from a variety of locations, they are not available for immediate dispatch. By default, we will ship your order once all items have been received in our Sydney warehouse. This will result in a small delay of 3-7 business days between placing your order and dispatch. Approximate delivery times can be found on each product page. Vintages may vary for Marketplace items. Generally, the latest available vintage will be delivered to you.

  • International marketplace products: at The Wine Collective, we want to offer you the widest range of products available. Our international marketplace offers you direct access to one of the world’s finest portfolios of wine. The delivery time is approximately 6 months, the products are worth the wait.

  • Pre-order products: from time to time, we may offer products that are available to purchase on a pre-order basis. These items have a longer than usual lead time and will be dispatched as soon as they arrive in our Sydney warehouse. Expected Dispatch Dates for these products will be clearly shown on the product page and in our cart.

Delivery Rates

The final delivery rate is calculated at checkout. You can enjoy Free standard shipping over $300 spend (for eligible zones).

During sitewide 'free shipping' promotions, only Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 are eligible for free shipping. Those in Zone 5 will be charged the delivery rate as outlined below.

Export Restrictions

The Wine Collective is an Australian-based company, licensed to sell wine to Australian residents. As such we are only able to deliver wine to addresses located in Australia. Should you wish to have a purchase delivered to a location outside of Australia you will need to make arrangements with your own shipping agent. The Wine Collective will not be responsible in any way for delivery outside Australia arranged by you.

Order Hold & Delay Dispatch

Once an order has been placed, our fulfilment systems are automated, so we are unable to hold or delay dispatch of orders. If, however, you contact us prior to ordering, we can place the order for you and delay the date of dispatch for up to a month.

Authority to Leave

By selecting our "Authority To Leave" option, or if you do not select our "Authority To Leave" option but have an authority in place with your local delivery centre giving permission to leave articles at the address you nominate, then you authorise the courier to leave the goods unattended at the delivery address and you accept that once the courier has done so, the complete order has been received.

Wine Collective Holdings Pty Ltd, and contractors associated with the delivery, do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage which results from the Authority to Leave delivery method. You agree to release Wine Collective Holdings Pty Ltd from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses, including financial and other consequential losses, made, suffered or incurred by you or any other person or entity as a result of this "Authority To Leave".

Please note that under certain circumstances Wine Collective Holdings Pty Ltd may not be able to leave your delivery as directed under an "Authority To Leave" request. In these instances, your complete order will be delivered to your nearest Australia Post Office for your collection.

No Authority to Leave

Wine deliveries are normally attempted between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Most orders will be delivered to your door, however, in rural or remote areas Australia Post may deliver your wine to the nearest post office or delivery centre for collection. Some larger metro areas may have extended delivery windows of Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm. The person collecting the order must be 18 years or over and able to present identification corresponding to the name of the consignee. If the order is not collected within 10 working days, it will be returned to The Wine Collective. Once back in our warehouse we can either refund or re-deliver your order, however there will be a $25 fee incurred.

Proof of Age

Wine Collective Holdings Pty Ltd will not deliver wines to anyone less than 18 years of age. If there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, our delivery drivers are obliged to request some form of photographic ID. If that recipient is unable to produce an appropriate ID, then the delivery driver will be unable to leave the wine. For Parcel Locker Services, please check with your Parcel Locker provider's Terms & Conditions as alcohol may not be accepted. Returned orders will incur a $25 fee and cause delays in delivery time. 

Correct Address

The Wine Collective cannot be held responsible for deliveries to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by customers. If delivery is being made to a business address, a company name must be entered. Business addresses that do not include a company name may be classed as incomplete. If the address is incorrect and the delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase. If the address is incorrect and/or the delivery is refused or unable to be completed, then the order will be returned to our distribution centre and a $25 fee will apply which will be either deducted off the refund or charged for a re-delivery. To avoid these costs, we recommend that you double check your address details to ensure that all information provided is correct and in full.
