The Collective Review

This wine comes from the talented hands of a pioneering Adelaide Hills winemaker with over fifty vintages under his belt. In that time, he's learned to craft a delicious Pinot Noir for under $20. It's a cracking wine that is fresh and delicious.

Harvested in the cool of night and early morning, destemmed fruit is tipped directly into fermenters without crushing. A gentle tannin extraction with twice-daily pump-overs highlights the care and attention put into this winemaking.

Experience a touch of greatness at this sharp price.

A fine example of Adelaide Hills Pinot, still very youthful, but with much promise. A blend of a number of clones, the specific vineyards are located at Gumeracha and Lobethal. Destemmed fruit is placed into the fermenters without crushing, to ensure as many whole berries as possible. Twice daily pumping over, the wine is then transferred to stainless steel tanks prior to blending. This is all fruit! The colour is pale crimson with notes of red apples and cherries, spices and raspberries. A fresh style, mid length, with a pleasing flick of acidity and silky tannins. There is a slight sour cherry note too, which kicks in towards the finish, and which works well. Drink now and over the next four to five years. Read more

The essence of youthful, vibrant Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir from carefully selected vineyards. A bouquet of seductive black cherry overlaid with exotic spices leads to a palate of supple fresh berries, bright acidity and lingering fine grained tannin.

Winemakers Note

Harvested in the cool of night and early morning, pristine destemmed fruit is tipped directly into fermenters without crushing to give a high percentage of whole berries. The fermenters are gently pumped over twice a day to keep the skins wet and promote gentle tannin extraction. After pressing the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks prior to blending to preserve freshness and vibrancy.
