Im on record as being someone who likes Marlborough Pinot Noir (from good producers) and most often I enjoy it more than, say, Central Otago. But lucky me, the last Seresin I reviewed was from a tricky vintage (2018) and I believe this was from an equally challenging one. Red cherry, raspberry, cinnamon and assorted spices, a little bit of wet earth, tamarind, cedar and aniseed. Medium-bodied, kind of sappy and mulchy, but in a nice way, with bright acidity, a little rasp of grainy dusty tannin, and a dry spicy finish of solid length. I like it. Read more

A blend deriving from our favourite Pinot Noir Clones on Osip hill, a north facing slope the sits majestically onthe Raupo vineyard. Leah is named after Michael Seresin’s daughter. This gorgeous Pinot Noir reflects the cool climate growing conditions that endure in the Omaka Valley, Marlborough. Vibrant, crunchy and expressing dense dark fruit aromas that integrate well with spice and earthy notes. The palate is fleshy and structured, yet supple and elegant. It held together by focused, fine acidity.
