2021 Peter Lehmann The Bond Grenache

With his word as his bond, many growers in the Barossa sold fruit to Peter Lehmann on a handshake agreement; many of which are still honoured today. These longstanding relationships give us unrivalled access to some of the finest quality grapes across the length and breadth of the region to craft our wines. Following a period of uncertainty, Peter Lehmann Wines was born to preserve a winemaking community, and save it from detriment during the great fruit surplus of the late 1970s. The Bond is created to honour Peter and his promise. Textural medium bodied palate, exhibiting flavours of bright primary fruit upfront. Raspberry and plum flavours dominate and are followed by abundant round tannins ensuring the floral Grenache varietals linger on the palate. Serious Grenache with enough structure to cellar for several years.
