The 2021 Estate Blend is produced from grapes grown on the Lloyd Brothers McLaren Vale Estate. A blend of Grenache (65%) hand-picked from the bush vines located a few steps from our winery, Shiraz (30%) from Block 9 and Manor Block which are well suited to this style with lovely bright red fruit and a hint of dark chocolate. A small percentage of estate bush vine Mourvèdre (5%) adds some spice and lift to the blend. Each variety was picked and fermented separately in small open fermenters, then pressed to seasoned French oak. After 9 months the best barrels were selected to create the Estate Blend GSM.
