2021 La Linea Tempranillo

Flying the flag for a variety that largely underperforms in Australia. Sappy, pithy, vibrant, mid-weighted and beautifully poised. A lattice of supple astringency, well-nestled vanillin oak and vibrant freshness supporting lilac florals, sweet cherry, raspberry bonbon and a sachet of dried sage and garden herb. Very good drinking.

Our style and quality are based on picking each block when perfectly ripe, and allowing each some hours of low temperature skin contact for limited, gentle tannin extraction. This ensures some crunchy late-palate texture to balance the exuberant perfume that Tempranillo offers when grown in cool conditions.
