2019 Radford Dale Black Rock

A blend of 60% Syrah, 17% Cinsault, 10% Mourvèdre, 8% Carignan and 5% Grenache, the 2019 Black Rock begins with a ripe and spicy essence of chamomile, dusty red cherries, black plum, a green herbal edge and black spices. Medium-bodied, the wine offers up an element of dried clay and calamine with a worn leather essence. Concluding with tart red fruit flavors, the wine lingers with elements of turned earth and firm tannins, which leaves me wanting more focus from the wine.
