Mount Kitchener Shiraz 2018

The Collective Review

From Trent Burge (son of Barossa legend Grant) comes a typically flavoursome South Australian Shiraz built in a style that you just know is going to be good before you crack it. Using predominantly luscious Barossa fruit with just a smidgen from other parts of SA for complexity, the whole package is a chunky, proudly Australian red with plenty of oak, rich fruit and firm tannins.

Tasting Notes

Bright red in colour, the palate has flavours of ripe cherries, raspberry and spice with a full bodied and soft, silky finish.

Winemakers Note

A wine of pure Shiraz pedigree, aromas of raspberry and ripe cherries with hints of chocolate and sweet spice. Aging in a combination of French and American oak gives balance to the palate and adds length and structure to the tannins. A full bodied style however silky and approachable as a young wine or a wine to enjoy over the next few years.
