2016 Marsau

On the right bank, the 2016 vintage proved especially favorable to clay soils. In this specific context, Chateau Marsau, with its 12 hectares of deep clay planted exclusively to merlot, produced its best wine ever in 2016. Patient winemaking conducted with very soft extractions made it for a brillant wine, with glorious fruit, fine and soft tanins, combining freshness, structure and ageing potential. It is a very complete wine, a true highlight of these new bordeaux, made from appellations off the beaten track, which offer consommers a newer approach to Bordeaux.
