This is a phenomenal, tiny-production red made mostly from colorino and canaiolo grapes. It has an amazing density and richness but remains bright and velvety in texture. It has such intense flavours of dark cherry and spice, with hints of chocolate. Very long finish. It's just about ready to drink now. Superb. 1,800 bottles made.

The aromas of raspberries, flowers and dark cherries come through nicely here. It is medium-bodied with firm tannins and fresh acidity. Racy finish. A little firm. Some wood still showing. Good energy. Minty finish. From vineyards at Lamole. Drink or hold.

Concentrated cherry, floral, raspberry, vanilla, toast and tea aromas and flavors mesh with the acidity and tannins in this young red. An almost boisterous expression that hangs together extremely well. Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino. Best from 2015 through 2024. 166 cases made.

Stephen Brook - Decanter

A late ripening year and rain at harvest meant sorting was essential, but potential quality was high. The nose is remarkable for its elegance, with sweet, ripe toasty black-cherry aromas. It's fresh and sleek rather than super-concentrated and has a welcome lightness of touch. This is graceful and highly drinkable yet with pronounced tannins too. Perhaps it lacks some structure and weight but it's very attractive, with a piquant finish.
