Tasting Notes
Pale straw in colour, with aromas of citrus zest and cut grass. Crisp and fine on the palate, with hints of refreshing mousse, green apple and grapefruit core depth, fine acidity and a dry finish – a crisp aperitif style with lemony intensity.
Winemakers Note
When tasting the tank samples of semillon after the year 2000 harvest, they sensed an opportunity to make a fresh, delicious Hunter Valley sparkling. Since 2005, Neptune has been a semillon-chardonnay blend, rather than 100% semillon.
