2022 Vandenberg Six Brothers Chardonnay

Pale Straw in colour. Aromoas of citrus and white stone fruits, notably nectarine with generous oak characters of roasted nuts and nougat. On the palate the stone fruits persist, supported by spicy oak and some savoury lees complexity all connected by perfectly poised tangy acidity. Food Match : Spring Chicken with Asian greens or with any long lunch.

Single Vineyard in Mount Gambier. The 2022 vintage was excellent for Mount Gambier with good winter rainfall, a mild growing season, and no prolonged heat waves. The early half of the growing season saw cooler-than-average conditions, before warming up near the beginning of summer. In the lead up to harvest, it was dry, and temperatures were mild, allowing the fruit to ripen evenly. Winemakers observed a steady increase in maturity in the vineyard and made picking and scheduling decisions to achieve optimum ripeness, and flavour expression.
