2022 Snake + Herring Sabotage Riesling

PALATE: The 2022 version shows the vintage: bright citrus fruit with floral and mineral elements supported by long natural acidity. Showing intense grapefruit and preserved lemon notes with hints of honeysuckle and talc. Barrel fermentation has added a fleshy pithy texture and the finish is lemony and succulent with long natural acidity.

The Great Southern is renowned for its finely structured, elegant and long-lived Rieslings. Each of the 5 sub-regions is different in the way Riesling is expressed; part of the wonder of exploring Riesling from the Great Southern. We have utilized Riesling from 2 vineyards for this wine; one in the central Mt Barker subregion and the other in the larger Frankland subregion.
