Tasting Notes
Pale straw with gold hue, the bouquet is bright and displays fresh aromas of citrus, pineapple, melon and tropical fruits. Underlying floral notes provide this unique wine fragrance. The fresh and juicy palate balance perfectly with the gentle acidity which leads to a lovely finish. Best enjoyed youthful and fresh, but can also be cellared up to 10 years. Pair with pasta dishes, chicken or pork.
Winemakers Note
Houghton was founded in 1836 by a syndicate pf British Army Officers and name after the most senior of the three – Lieutenant Colonel Richmond Houghton. Houghton has built an enviable reputation shaping the Western Australian winemaking landscape. The Houghton Stripe range epitomises the flavoursome, vibrant style of Houghton.
