Evans & Tate Metricup Road Rosé 2022

Light to mid salmon pink with a copper rim. Lifted aromatics of freshly crushed alpine strawberries, rose petal and Turkish delight adding lovely layers of perfume. Long, fresh and flavoursome - red berry fruits immediately fill the mouth with a refreshing, dry, talcy finish of impressive length.

Shiraz 91%, Pinot Gris 9% The Shiraz fruit was picked a touch earlier due to the warmer 2022 Margaret River vintage and picked as cool as possible as a single batch just before dawn. The cold fruit was gently pressed off as quickly as possible to avoid longer than necessary skin contact with only the lightly coloured and freshest free-run juice being used to make this wine. The juice was racked clear off the grape solids after 4 days of cold settling and fermented in tank at 12-15C to retain perfume and freshness in the final wine.
