2022 Cirillo 1850 Rosato
The Collective Review
A serious Rose made from ancient vines that still manages to be satisfying and thirst-quenching? This wine shows hints of rhubarb and cherry that carry it through the palate making it a food-friendly style.
This reminds me of a Cersuolo d'Abruzzo style, interchangeable as a lighter red or fuller-weighted rosato. A deep salmon hue flecked with orange edges. Scents of maraschino cherry, rhubarb and pomegranate, parlaying a noble bitterness to mitigate a subtle sluice of sweetness. Chewy, food-friendly rails, to boot. Drink now. Read more

Tasting Notes
The Cirillo 1850 Grenache Rose is sourced from some of the oldest Grenache vines in the world, planted in 1850. It displays glossy pink hues, with a bouquet of ripe berry fruit, sweet violets and strawberries. This rose is made in parallel with elegant European styles. The palate has lovely length with a crisp finish. A divine wine to drink now, but will age with grace to enjoy over time.
