2021 De Bortoli Single Vineyard A5 Chardonnay

Sourced from Dixon Creek Vineyards, the De Bortoli A5 Chardonnay shows why this producer makes elegant, cool-climate mod-oz Chardonnay. It's picked earlier and retains amazing fruit freshness counterpoised by judicious oak and tangy acidity through the finish. Every feels dialled up, too, with the quality fruit lapping up the pin-boned French oak. Exemplary scores from Phillip Rich, writing for Wine Companion too, who awarded it 96 points and foreshadows a true blossoming with an extra year or so in the bottle.
