Tasting Notes
Vintage 2021 was a fairly cool vintage with a single major rain event. With the vines being unstressed by heat, they surprised us with their ripening power to produce some excellent parcels of grapes - a great advantage of cool climate viticulture! This wine, made from a rare German grape, shows its traditional complex nose of roses, white flowers and green melon. The palate is luscious and persistent, with lychee, rosewater, melon and musk flavours and a refreshing, clean finish. While ideal with sushi, shellfish or Asian style cuisine, this rare German variety can complement an unusually wide range of foods.
