The Collective Review
Your prayers have been answered. We journeyed straight to the pinnacle, procuring wine from an estate with a winemaking legacy dating back to 1847. The top-tier offerings from this winery vanish from the shelves year after year, and this one stands as the Granddaddy of them all.
Nestled near the charming Southern Barossa town of Lyndoch, this prestigious estate is dedicated to mastering handcrafted wines from their own vineyards. Given the estate's rich heritage, you can rest assured that only the finest fruit is utilised, cared for like a precious gem, and produced exclusively in the most exceptional vintages.
Power, concentration, finesse, and distinction — this wine embodies everything you seek when indulging in top-tier Barossa Shiraz. In true TWC style, we're offering it at an incredibly competitive price - normally $320, and now just a fraction of that price as one of our unrivalled mystery deals..

1847 Grand Pappy’s 2020: a classical Australian idiom: power, lavish fruit and salubriously applied structural elements. A little bottle age has come up trumps, servicing notes of porcini dashi, menthol, beef bouillon and Sichuan pepper, all corralled by malty oak. The acidity, a bit shrill, but the overall impression is one of forceful precision
