From 35 year old vines, certified organic farmed. Shorter time in oak, maybe a touch of new. Heady scents of ripe, red plum, currants, fig and salami with dried herbs and white pepper. Sloshes into the palate nicely, liquorice, some dried herb and sweet berry fruits with a bit of dark chocolate, ferrous character and a clean, bright finish with ultra fine, succulent tannin in tow. Tasting Notes
With a selection of grapes from specific plots with the same terroir, containing chalk and clay, with a hint of flint. At an average vine age of 35 all grapes are hand harvested and sorted on arrival at the cellar. With a beautiful and very deep, velvety red color the bouquet is full of ripe cherries. The flavour is well structured, tannic, and very powerful.
