A vibrant straw-gold colour gleams throughout the glass. Ripe white peaches and smoky-bacon aromas. The palate follows the same flavour profile, with the fruit and savoury elements all in abundance and showing great power and intensity. Alongside this there's ample acidity to keep that power controlled and driving to the long finish. A big and powerful example of Mornington chardonnay
The 2021 Chardonnay KBS Vineyard is classically styled with potent and compact ruby grapefruit and melon aromas with faint florals beautifully wrapped up in fine French oak. The 2021 shows exceptional vitality and composition. Fresh acidity provides impact and supports a finish that unfurls with citrus and nougat complexity. It's super tight and needs time to flower.

Tasting Notes
AROMA: A classic KBS Vineyard Chardonnay with a nose that is closed at first then opens with stone fruits, dried haystacks and a floral perfume. PALATE: There is a richness to the fruit, but it is restrained and held in check by the fine acidity and chalky structure to give it a savoury finish. A great example of the subtle power that this vineyard can deliver.
