Violeta 2015 6 Pack

La Violeta is located in the Uco Valley in Argentina. This wine is the Argentine twin of Château La Violette in Pomerol. The 2015 vintage This season was characterized by a mild winter, a cool summer and, finally, a rainy fall. Due to these conditions, the harvest had to be brought forward by 10 days. Just like the previous season, the number of days with extreme temperatures largely exceeded the historical record. Frost occurred less frequently during this season, 37% below the historical record. October and November were the driest months, with 1.5 mm and 14.8 mm of rainfall, respectively. In February, there was a 10% to 50% increase in rainfall. Fortunately, this did not affect our soils because of their excellent drainage. These conditions have resulted in fresh wines with low alcohol content, acidity higher than usual and great aging potential. Tasting notes Deep brilliant violet, this wine has good complexity of aromas resulting from aging combined with fruity aromas typical of the Malbec grapes grown in this zone. Weather conditions present in February and March led to a cool season that conveyed structure and brightness to the wine. On the palate, the wine is wonderfully balanced in terms of acidity, sweetness and tannins. The long, lingering finish has great bouquet and carries the wood perfectly.
