Product Highlights
Riesling has a very strong case for being the world’s greatest white grape. It’s a favourite of sommeliers and critics alike, and once you spend a little time with it, it’s easy to understand why.
From the razor-sharp freshness of Clare Valley to the richer, more textural styles of Alsace, Riesling can cover remarkable ground - from bone dry to gently sweet and all the way through to luscious dessert styles. Few grapes can offer that kind of range, which is exactly why we’ve put together this mixed 6. Valued at $222 and now just $120, it’s a smart introduction to just how exciting Riesling can be.
Inside, you’ll find six excellent examples that show off the grape’s versatility from different regions and in different styles.
There’s the 94-point Jeanneret Big Fine Girl, a classic Clare Valley Riesling with bright, punchy citrus and all the hallmarks of great Australian Riesling.
The Coppabella Procella from Clare Valley is more serious and tightly coiled, with structure and intensity that opens beautifully in the glass.
Pressing Matters R0 from Tasmania, rated 93 points, takes inspiration from German Kabinett styles and delivers a bone-dry profile with layered orchard fruit character.
Dopff & Irion Cuvée René Dopff brings Alsace into the mix with a riper, fuller, more textural expression that still finishes dry.
The freshly bottled PN Riesling 2025 is vibrant and savoury, with lemon and peach fruit over a stony mineral edge.
Rounding out the pack is the 95-point Riversdale R42 Riesling 2024, an off-dry style with 42 grams of sugar, beautifully balanced and brilliant with spicy food, salty cheese or fruit-based desserts. Different regions, different styles, one grape doing a lot of very good things - and if Riesling is what you’re after, this pack covers all the bases.
