Walk into a cider mill and you might be met with as much apple flavour as this Riesling presents. Or you could buy this 2024 vintage and give over to its astonishing bouquet. There is the crunch of nashi pears, lemon scented blossoms and honeydew melon. The palate echoes the aroma with the pert acidity that only Tassie can bring, if there is residual sweetness here it’s just a very small teaspoon before the zestiness takes over and leaves you with a dry finish. Full of punch and vigor, this will make any table or picnic a rizz party. It’s delightful and has me looking forward to warmer days and more time outdoors, hopefully drinking this from the bottle and frolicking on a hillside.

Sam Kim - Wine Orbit

Pristine and elegant, the wine presents notes of white-fleshed nectarine, green rockmelon, crunchy apple, and lime peel on the nose. The palate is splendidly focused and flowing, wonderfully structured by racy acidity, finishing superbly long and linear.

So pretty, aromatic and bright. Bath talc mixes with white flowers, citrus, lime zest and intense lime cordial on the bouquet. I lingered over the aromas, I’m sure I’m not the only one lured in by that powerfully aromatic scent. The palate similarly is brimming in citrus goodness with a sorbet-bright tang, grapefruit and lime with a touch of musk stick confection and an almost lemon pastille/jelly crystal intensity on the back palate. Acidity is bright and bouncy, and it finishes steely fresh.

Light straw in the glass with aromas of lime, lemon, grapefruit and green apple. Hints of dried wildflowers, a whiff of marzipan, guava, parmesan rind, stone and curd. The wine tightens on the palate; minerality ratchets up a couple of notches, the pace gathers and the wine zips to the finish in a linear fashion.
