Pavillon Blanc 2024

Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux Sold in the 19th century under the name « Château Margaux vin de sauvignon », it has existed under the brand name « Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux » since 1920 and its label has not changed since that date. The eleven-hectare vineyard is located on a very old parcel and planted only with Sauvignon Blanc. Today it benefits from the new wine cellar’s ultra-modern installations designed by Norman Foster. The finesse, complexity, richness and the length in the mouth of Pavillon Blanc are incomparable for a wine produced only from Sauvignon. The recent vintages have opened up new horizons in quality, ageing capacity and style which has become more mineral and much more complex. The 2024 vintage A mild summer and gradual ripening led to ideal harvest conditions from September 2nd to 8th, with no sanitary pressure. Grapes were picked in the cool of the morning to preserve their full aromatic expression, resulting in a wine of great precision, combining freshness, purity, and concentration. Each parcel is vinified separately in the state-of-the-art winery designed by Norman Foster, allowing for meticulous, artisan-level work. Less than 50% of the harvest is selected for Pavillon Blanc, ensuring a rigorous selection process that delivers a wine of tension, elegance, and true aging potential.
