Very pretty orange peel with currants and blue berries. Flowers, too. Medium to full body with firm and velvety tannins that are polished and impressive. Fresh fruit at the end. Serious structure and brightness. Drink after 2026.
Brilliant dark ruby red. Inviting nose, exciting, with candle wax, precious wood, ripe cranberry and blackcurrant, with a red peach and fine savouriness in the aftertaste. Very polished and surprisingly fresh on the palate, with great juiciness and excellently integrated alcohol. Keeps coming back, with a clear, fruity finish. Drinks very well.

The 2020 growing season saw alternating spells of rainfall and heat, but fortunately there was no struggle with disease and the harvest was early and healthy. The nose is dense and powerful, exhibiting lush black fruits and chocolate, and it became more perfumed with aeration. The attack is zesty and vigorous, spicy and assertive, but there's no excessive extraction and the tannins are polished. Despite a hint of tar and liquorice, the black fruits dominate. Well balanced, with both grip and texture, and a very long finish, this will age well.
Deep dark, elegant ruby red. Inviting nose, elegant wood, cassis, blackberries, sweet cherry fruit, cedar, incense on the finish, complex. The palate is textured and vivid, with still very youthful tannins, in addition beautifully juicy, several layers, punchy finish, needs time.
Bright ruby red with a brightening rim. On the nose a fine fragrance, discreet, some lavender, mint, then cassis and ripe raspberry, cold smoke in the echo. On the palate vegetal tannin, grippy, unfortunately remains a bit hung over and raw in the echo.

Aromas of garden herbs and tobacco are subtle for the time being. Dark fleshy cherry suffuses the palate, and its creamy texture and vanilla finale are countered by tangy acidity. It's already approachable overall, although the tannins could do with a bit more time to integrate. Lamberto Frescobaldi describes the 2020 vintage as straightforward and balanced without significant heat spikes. And indeed, Luce captures the suave, almost carefree character of the vintage.
