Château Latour 2019 1500ml

AVAILABLE IN OWC 6, OWC 3 OR OWC 1 Château Latour sits at the heart of the Médoc wine region, about 50 km northwest of Bordeaux, where the story of Bordeaux’s vineyards first began. The Grand Vin of Château Latour is produced exclusively from the finest old vines of the estate’s historic vineyard, known as l’Enclos, which stretches across 47 hectares. At the very edge of the Gironde estuary, upon this noble gravelly rise, Cabernet Sauvignon finds its fullest expression. Since 1993, under the ownership of the Pinault family, the estate has undergone major changes, all with the goal of preserving Château Latour’s unwavering commitment to excellence in its wines. The 2019 vintage: Favoured by a cool and damp spring, the vines developed harmoniously, benefiting from a generous and even flowering. The summer, warm and dry yet never extreme, brought moderate hydric stress and guided the grapes towards perfect ripeness, which yielded beautifully expressive aromatics In September, cool temperatures and the vineyard’s excellent health enhanced the depth of this expression. As the harvest approached, a welcome spell of rain brought perfect balance and ensured ideal polyphenol extractability. From these generous conditions emerged a wine of equal generosity: full-bodied, precise and savoury, supported by an elegant structure. Its remarkable balance makes it approachable in its youth while also promising great ageing potential. A deep and refined wine. Tasting notes Elegant, structured, and refined, they are tense yet silky on the palate, precise and layered, revealing their aromatic complexity on a long, sapid finish.
