La Garde Rouge Magnum 2019 1500ml 6 Pack

Château La Garde, Vignoble Dourthe since 1990, boasts a unique mosaic of soils, including one of the finest gravel outcrops in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. This diversity of soils is an asset for us to find the perfect combination in order to express the singularity of our terroir. Here the vine-growing regime is commensurate with its quality ambitions, resulting in premium grapes produced with the greatest respect for man and the environment. Robust and richly coloured, Château La Garde reds are structured, concentrated, and well-suited to long cellar ageing. The white wines are made predominantly from sauvignon blanc planted. They develop rare aromatic expression which is enhanced by rich Semillon. A very fine white wine produced in limited quantity. Tasting note - Vintage 2019: « Attractive deep purple-red in colour. Fresh blackberries jostle with hints of spice and liquorice on the complex bouquet. Smooth on the attack, generous and rich on the palate, the wine is underpinned by delicate, silky and velvety tannins. Offering attractive balanced fruit and mouthfeel, the wine culminates in a lengthy, complex finish, with a lingering sense of freshness tinged with liquorice. » (April 2020) Frédéric Bonnaffous, Vignobles Dourthe Director Blend: 52% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon To validate and formalise our environmentally-conscious practice of sustainable viticulture, we set our sights on achieving Terra Vitis certification for all our Vignobles Dourthe, including Château La Garde, the scheme we believe to be the most true to our values. In addition, in 2018 we were awarded HVE level 3 certification (High Environmental Value), the most stringent level of certification .
