Château La Garde La Garde Rouge 2021 1500ml 6 Pack

Château La Garde, flagship of Maison Dourthe since 1990, benefits from an exceptionnal terroir, including one of the finest gravel outcrops in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Its unique mosaic of soils ( 27 in total), in a setting of biodiversity, allows each year to find the perfect combination in order to accurately express the taste of the place . The 2021 vintage is the first to be vinified in the new cellar. The finesse of the tannins and the aromatic expression of the wine illustrate the gain in precision and accuracy brought by this new high-end tool. Tasting note - Vintage 2021: « Concentrated, with flecks of dark ruby. The intense nose opens with dark cherry aromas. Fleshy and rich from the outset. Generosity and freshness strike a perfect balance, underpinned by concentrated tannic structure. The wine culminates in a long, full-flavoured finish, typical of the magnificent Château La Garde terroir.» Frédéric Bonnaffous, Dourthe Chief Winemaker ( May 2022) Environmental commitment: Terra Vitis & HVE3 (High Environmental Value) One of the 12 wines « under the radar gems » by Neal Martin ( Vinous)
