Tasting Notes

Concertmaster is first matured in American oak, then finished in Portuguese ruby, tawny and vintage port barriques. The port finish layers red fruit, warm spice and a mellow smoothness over Kavalan's tropical-fruit core - a rich, festive dram that's easy to love. Nose: Honey, vanilla, candy floss and tropical fruit, with red grapes, raisins and clove. Palate: Rich and sweet - baked apple, red berries, cinnamon and brown sugar, with a backbone of warm oak. Finish: Medium length, with dried fruit, vanilla cream and gentle spice. Distillery: Kavalan, Yilan County, Taiwan. Casks: American oak, finished in ruby, tawny and vintage port barriques. ABV: 40%. 700ml.
