A gleaming primrose colour. All about the weight more than the class on the nose., All about the class on the palate, where it really kicks off, heading to the stars. You feel that there are many layers waiting to unfold, very gorgeous. Wonderful finish, the stones adding pinpoint precision to the weight of orchard fruit. Drink from 2030-2038

The harvest began here on September 6, just 100m (330ft) from the Charmes parcel. Tight, straight, whiplash energy combines with acidity in this more savory wine. Intense, severe and cold in feel. Edge and tension. I like this Perrières. 2028–35.

The 2023 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a fragrant nose with much more mineralité than the Charmes-Dessus, nuanced and introspective at first but gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and nectarine, cohesive and lightly spiced with good weight on the finish. You can feel this Les Perrières tingling long after it has departed. Very fine.
