Belgrave Magnum 2019 1500ml 6 Pack

Château Belgrave, classified Grand Cru Classé since 1855, is the brightest star in the DOURTHE galaxy. Spanning 59Ha of vines planted in a single block, 95% of which has not changed since its 1855 classification, the vineyard shares with its Saint-Julien neighbours the same prestigious terroirs that have carved Bordeaux its enviable reputation. The château produces deliciously fresh, deep and concentrated wines, which stand apart for their impressive ageing potential and complex aromas. With 40 years’ experience at the helm, DOURTHE and its teams have acquired an in-depth knowledge of the vineyard to allow its true character to shine. Tasting note - Vintage 2019: « Deep crimson purple in colour. With its floral bouquet, revealing a touch of violet, it exudes lush black cherry and blackberry fruits. The wine is clean on the attack, and gains in concentration on the palate, underpinned by impressive tannic structure, lovely balance and good length. Lingering aromas, culminating in lovely floral character and dark fruits on the finish. » (April 2020) Frédéric Bonnaffous, Vignobles Dourthe Director Blend: 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot To validate and formalise our environmentally-conscious practice of sustainable viticulture, we set our sights on achieving Terra Vitis certification for all our Vignobles Dourthe, including Château Belgrave, the scheme we believe to be the most true to our values. In addition, in 2018 we were awarded HVE level 3 certification (High Environmental Value), the most stringent level of certification.
