Tasting Notes

Deep crimson on the eye. Varietal pepper and rounded oak on the palate. Rich Christmas pudding, with spiced clover & nutmeg on the nose. What a cracking wine. It just has everything you want, perfectly balanced. There is seriously intense fruit, lovely warming oak, beautiful palate weight and length. Just delicious, seriously good.

It just has everything you want, perfectly balanced. There is seriously intense fruit, lovely warming oak, beautiful palate weight and length. Just delicious, seriously good.

Our blockbuster Best in Collective Shiraz winner is back with the next chapter in this sell-out series. Last vintage flew, fast. (Sad, we know.) But the 2023 release is already set to be making some serious waves. 

Auld Family Wines, seven generations deep in Barossa winemaking, trace their roots back to the same early days as Penfolds, planting vines in Magill in the 1840s. Their 2023 East Hills Block Shiraz, coming in as a fresh new vintage, but we can assure you this one has the same knockout form.

Expect a rush of black raspberries, huckleberries, black licorice, and spice, all wrapped in plush, dark-fruited power.
