It's superbly expressed on the nose, showing black and blueberry, floral, vanilla, cedar, and warm spice aromas. The concentrated palate exhibits outstanding weight and richness, wonderfully complemented by velvety texture and finely infused tannins, making it delectable and enticing with a sustained, gratifying finish.

Opaque garnet with a vibrant rim. Initial char and toasty char before potpourri, blackberry, spent coffee, freshly turned earth, toffee, cherry medicinal hints and grilled plums. Full, yet balanced. Powdery and dry tannin underneath with Turkish spice, rosewater and cherry to red currant fruit. Steps well and brightly considering the stated ABV. Understated packaging notwithstanding, this is a fine example from the Barossa.

A delicious Krondorf-sourced shiraz that shows a cascade of pure satsuma plum, dark cherry and boysenberry fruits on a base of baking spices and earth, with citrus blossom top notes and hints of pan juices, dark chocolate, gentle vanillin oak, dried tobacco, turned earth and olive tapenade. It sits more in the medium-bodied spectrum and sports a lovely slender palate shape with plenty of spicy detail, fine, powdery tannins and a sprightly, mineral cadence. A really lovely drink this one.
