2022 Auld Family Wines East Hill Block Shiraz 2022 (Best In Collective)

The 2022 Auld Family Wines East Hill Block Shiraz is a classic example of the Barossa Valley, and comes with an impressive saving off the cellar-door price (it helps that we. bought the entire vintage worth of stock). Rich and complete, from one of Australia’s top producers, embodying everything we love about this bold variety. Winning Best in Collective is no easy feat, it was tasted blind against roughly 40+ of Australia’s finest wines and came out as the ‘Crème de la crème’.

Andrew Caillard MW awarded it 94 points, praising its deep crimson hue, black cherry and chocolaty aromas, with a hint of tobacco leaf; our own tasting panel was equally impressed, giving it 96 points and calling it a "cracking wine" with "seriously intense fruit" and "beautiful palate weight and length." 

If you’re looking for a Shiraz that balances power and elegance, and is as equally as exclusive as it is long-lived, do not pass go.
