2021 Moulin de Duhart

This is a really pretty Duhart and fans out nicely on the palate with medium soft tannins that are polished. Gorgeous young wine. 81% cabernet sauvignon and 19% merlot. James Suckling 94 Points Ruby color. The nose, roasted at first, gradually opens up to red fruit, with hints of mint and violet. On the palate, the wine is soft and voluptuous, finishing on a concentration without any roughness. The wood is well-integrated, sapid and sappy. The finish is harmonious and graceful enhanced by toasty notes.

2021 - Decisions, Decisions This year more than ever, it was crucial to make the right decisions at the right time. At every step of the growing season, Nature challenged the teams of each estate and all the required decisions to overcome theses challenges were made collectively. Whether it was to overcome the frost, the capricious spring or to decide the harvest dates, each of these decisions shaped the profile of the wines of Domaines Barons de Rothschild in 2021: a vintage in which it was definitively impossible to cheat. To be noted: 2021 is the first vintage in conversion to Organic Farming for all the estates of Domaines Barons de Rothschild. 2021, The Best of both worlds Duhart-Milon appears cheerful yet direct in 2021, having taken advantage of the best of both worlds. With a less sunny vintage, it was particularly interesting to see the differences in the terroirs emerged between the areas with more clay, where a large part of Merlots are planted, and the dry gravel terroirs which like the Atlantic climate and stress-free years. Duhart-Milon 2021 has a historically direct character softened by the beautiful ripeness it has shown in recent years.
