Winemakers Notes
Château Fieuzal, a wine set apart Château Fieuzal is one of the jewels of this great wine region of Graves. It is one of the most esteemed Graves wines, which comes from the four centuries-old talent exerted by winegrowers who love their profession on an exceptional terroir. Through their vision and philosophy, the owners - the Quinn Family - and their technical director - Stephan Carrier - have set Fieuzal apart; a wine whose quality improves year after year and therefore deserves special attention. https://bit.ly/DiscoverChâteauFieuzal 2021, an atypical vintage 2021 is atypical, following the pattern of "1" vintages. The climatic conditions were totally extraordinary, with a very challenging and highly stressful growing season leading up to the late harvest. "The vintage possesses a sophisticated yet untamed character that is emblematic of 2021. There is a wildness and authenticity to the finest wines, which have sought to respect and express the place where they were cultivated. The color is light purple and intense. On the nose there are aromas of redcurrant, tangerine and light notes of white pepper, brought by both the Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. On the palate, there is freshness with a nice tension and length. There is a subtle saline touch that stands out on the finish with tannins that are elegant and precise." Stephen Carrier, Winemaker
