Wildflower notes with green apple and lime zest on the nose. Freshness and livelines on the palate, this has an immediate appeal in terms of being bright and playful as well as having that core of caramelised oranges, dried yellow raisins, yellow plums, crunchy green apple and lemon zest. I love the clarity and the execution here with tangy acidity that makes the mouthwater and want more.

Light green-yellow with silver reflections. Delicate savoury aromas with hints of botrytis offered in the saffron and honey nose, fresh pear fruit delicately woven with subtle wood spices. Powerful, white peach palate with fresh citrus acidity and attractive touches of honey. Already developing nicely with a defined mineral backbone.

The Dubourdieu family purchased top Barsac estate Doisy-Daëne in 1924. In the time since it has grown from 14ha to 25ha, 10ha of which is Sauvignon Blanc destined for this dry white bottling. This estate produced the first dry white in a Sauternes area, back in 1949. The freshness of the 2021 vintage comes through in this 100% Sauvignon Blanc: a precise wine with vibrant citrus acidity balancing the stone fruit character. Finishes with a long, pebbly, mineral aftertaste.
