Acidity gives a liveliness and the clarity of each elements presents the terroir clearly in the glass. Wild, confident and bold. Super refreshing and characterful with that sharp edge of fruit and a gentle persistence.

Strongly scented on the nose, lots of floral and ripe fruit aromas. Bright and shiny, a nice level of juicy acidity with crisp red fruit and quite strong salty, minerality that comes in quickly where the fruit just loses some push. Feels a little overdone, but the tannins are well integrated and this has a sense of smoothness to the expression.

The 2021 Carlmagnus has a rather staid nose that lacks the amplitude of its peers and needs more vigor and nuance. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, simple and balanced but with an austere finish.
