Superbly located on the hilltop near Gironde, the Château is a wide quadrangular building that stands in the center of a vineyard, made up of a single block of land, neighbor of Château Montrose. Covering approximately 50 hectares, the majestic tranquility of the landscape reflects a long, untroubled history that dates back to the 17th century. In addition to the Garonne gravel in the soil, the vineyard has  another unusual feature, a three meter deep vein of blue clay in the subsoil, of the same nature as that on which Pétrus also chose to set up his vineyard 4 centuries later. Key Points - In 2016, Château Meyney obtained HEV certification - In 2020 100% Organic management first year in which the vineyard is managed with 100% organic products (except for treatment of flavescence dorée and devitalization) - In 2012, Commitment to the EMS - A good quality wine and well rated Vinification After harvesting, meticulous sorting in the vineyard, the grapes are sorted again using the latest generation optical sorting system. They were vinified according to a plot by plot approach. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out after a few days of cold soak-maceration. For some of the wines, malolactic fermentation was carried out in new barrels. All of the first wine is matured in French oak barrels (about 35 % new barrels).
