2020 Grand Puy Ducasse 6 Pack

The Château Grand-Puy Ducasse has been created since 1675. The vineyard of this Classified Growth consists of three large parcels located on the best terroirs in Pauillac. This unusual configuration was created by its founder, a distinguished lawyer, who through a series of purchases and inheritances was able to assemble this splendid 18th vineyard under one name. Thanks to the meticulous harvesting process and the way the each batch is specially matured, the CabernetSauvignon and Merlot offer wines that are known for their aromatic complexity, beautiful structure and capacity to age, typical of the best of Pauillac. Key Points - The 2020 vintage marks the 200th harvest - Since 2016, High Environmental Value certification and 40% of the vineyard is managed organically - In 2020, planting of the first Petit Verdot and preservation, using mass selection, of a more than 70 year-old genetic potential - In 2021, Renaissance: a new label for the 2020 vintage symbolizing the qualitative renewal of the château’s wines - A good quality and well rated wine Vinification After manual harvesting in crates and an initial sorting in the vineyard, the grapes are sorted again using the latest generation optical sorting system. Vinification is then carried out in stainless steel temperature controlled tanks however for some  of the batches, malolactic fermentation is also carried out in new barrels. All ofthe first wine is matured in French oak barrels, 35 % of which were renewed this vintage.
