Established in 1998, Viña Cobos today is internationally recognized for its mastery in producing world class wines from a finely curated selection of diverse terroirs situated in the cool, high-altitude zones of Mendoza, Argentina. The winery was founded in Lujan de Cuyo at the foot of the Andes Mountains by American winemaker, Paul Hobbs. With the inaugural vintage of Cobos Malbec in 1999, Viña Cobos marked a milestone in viticulture, defying existing standards, and firmly positioning Malbec and Argentina on the international stage Viña Cobos makes wines that are authentic expressions of the different terroirs of Mendoza, Argentina. By exploring the most distinguished regions of Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, produces wines that uniquely reflects their origins. The wine portfolio of Viña Cobos is led by Cobos Malbec. The maximum representation of its philosophy, passion and mastery combined to produce a refined, powerful wine. An Argentine icon, the flagship to the world, sourced from own vineyards across Mendoza with exceptional vines that complement each other perfectly.  The portfolio is completed with Viña Cobos Vineyard Designate, Vinculum, Bramare, Cocodrilo and Felino. The 2020 vintage The 2020 season recorded the earliest harvest in Mendoza’s history. The exceptional health of the fruit stands out, providing well-structured wines with great balance and flavor concentration. In a warm climate, the strategic planning of the harvest points and logistics were key to achieving freshness, good acidity and maturity at its exact point to achieve excellent wines. Tasting notes: Deep purple color, with dark tones, aromas reminiscent of flowers, dark chocolate, tobacco and fresh coffee. On the palate it has a very good concentration and balance, the tannins are tight and the finish is very long.
