Winemakers Notes
4 generations of the Lurton family. 75 ha of vines – one of the largest vineyards in Margaux- deep gravel soils, rich in minerals - with excellent natural drainage. The plateau is 30 ha, “Le Plateau de Brane” – the croup culminates at 22m (gravelly clay) - used in particular for the first wine: Château Brane Cantenac. Definitely one of the best terroirs in the Margaux AOC, alongside the gravel slopes of Margaux and Palmer. In Organic culture for a large part of the vineyard (not yet certified) + HVE3. Remarkable elegance and finesse, silky wines - an emblem of quality and excellence in the world of fine wines. One of our favorite in Margaux. Clearly one with the best potential, and a beautiful future ahead. We love the finesse, the elegance and the fresh and delicate aromas that illustrate the appellation so well.
