Luce - the magnificence of the Tuscany When Vittorio Frescobaldi met Robert Mondavi in the early 90s, a new chapter in the history of the great Tuscan wines was written. It gave birth to an ambitious project called Tenuta Luce, a name that evokes the sunlight of Montalcino, which is the source of life and nourishment, and marks the passage of the seasons and sets the pace for any and every agricultural activity. The sun then became the emblem of the estate. Located in Montalcino, Tenute Luce delivers a unique experience in a place surrounded by nature. Only 88ha out of its 249ha of land is planted with vines. The bright light that comes from its vineyard's specific exposure, the cool breeze and the diversity of soils and altitudes make Luce a place of choice where the balance of all of these elements is taken care of. Since the very beginning of this project, respect has been in the heart of every actions: respect of the earth, of the beauty of nature and of the people who are daily working at Luce. Lamberto Frescobaldi took over is father in 2005 and remain faithful to these values. In 2016, he launched the construction of a new winery, perfectly integrated in Montalcino's landscape. Lux Vitis is a unique wine in Montalcino. It’s specificity is that it is composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and a small part of Sangiovese. The grapes come from a specific vineyard planted in 2004. 2015 was the first vintage. Lux Vitis is a rare expression of Luce's terroir. Tasting Notes Lux Vitis 2019 has a ruby red color. The nose is striking for its great complexity: notes of red andblack fruit mingle, accompanied by elegant nuances of vanilla, dried flowers, and hints ofMediterranean herbs. The palate is vibrant, with powerful and silky tannins, rich and elegantthat give the wine liveliness and a very long gustatory persistence; a Lux Vitis of great longevity.
