The finish is long and lingering, leaving a satisfying impression of dark fruit and subtle earthiness. Winemakers Notes
2019 is a milestone vintage at Latour Martillac, for reasons more than one.
It is the first vintage to be vinified and aged in the new
chai
, that has been renovated, restructured, extended, and vastly upgraded, to allow for even more clarity and precision in the wine.
It is the vintage with the highest proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon at Latour Martillac.
2019 is the 30th vintage of Valérie Vialard as technical director at the estate.
And finally, in our view, 2019 is potentially their best vintage ever. It is even more profound, aromatic, refined, focused, and accomplished than any vintage we know of.
