CVBG EXCLUSIVITY
This small vineyard
of less than 3 ha is
composed of two parcels : one
near Brillette and Chasse Spleen
mostly with clay and gravels, and another more in the North with mostly limestone and gravels. It is a very small production of about 12 000 / 15 000 bts depending of the vintage.
A particularity of this wine is the
large part of Petit Verdot
in it : about 10-15%. It gives a nice style to the wine, structure and capacity of ageing !
The vineyard is in organic conversion and the first vintage organic certified will be the 2021.
We tasted several vintages two years ago, from 2011 to 2017, and we decided to go for it on an exclusive basis : we were seduced by the wines, and by the project of Pierre Cazeneuve. His family also owns Château Paloumey, already organic certified, and Pierre managed both vineyards in a very ecological way ; he is
part of the leaders of this philosophy in Bordeaux
.
