Peter Moser - Falstaff
Dark ruby, deep core, purple reflections, subtle brightening at the rim. Fine nougat, some liquorice and cassis, dark cherry, discreet fine oak spice. Juicy, harmonious, sweet cherry, good freshness, integrated tannins, persistent, a well-balanced food wine with further development likely and definite ageing potential.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW - Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Chauvin is a little shy to begin, revealing pretty scents of wild blueberries, kirsch and warm black cherries followed by hints of violets and star anise. Full, wonderfully intense and concentrated, there is a lot of bright, crunchy fruit here with firm, rounded tannins and a refreshing lift to the long finish. Nicely done!

Still in barrel, due to be bottled in the next few months. This is gorgeous, plump fruit, beautifully controlled in feel, elegant and silky but gourmet and easy to love. This is a great wine and one of the best Chauvins I've tasted young. Underlines that for me 2018 is a great vintage in St Emilion, certainly for medium-term drinking, but I would feel pretty confident this will go the long haul, and it has seriously improved over ageing to this point. First year of HVE3-certification. 50% new oak, harvest September 26 to October 13.

Roger Voss - Wine Enthusiast
Bold, ripe tannins and black fruits are a hallmark of the vintage. This wine is distinguished by dense tannins shot with acidity, giving a sense of structure and richness. The wine from this rapidly improving estate has good aging potential and should not be drunk before 2026.

Blackberries and cherries, violets, herbs and some ash character to this full-bodied St.-Emilion. Savory, chewy texture with tight tannins and a medium finish. Try after 2024.
A pretty and polished young red with dark-berry and cherry character, medium body, fine tannins and a clean and vivid finish. Points: 91-92
