Dark in color, you'll instantly find floral notes to accompany the basket of red fruits and thyme. The wine is juicy, soft and fruity with spicy licorice accents in the finish.

Juicy and up front in feel, with a mix of blueberry and blackberry fruit backed by light anise and bramble hints. Exhibits good energy.—J.M.

Pretty notes of plums, orange blossom, and violets emerge from the 2017 Château Vrai Canon Bouché, which is medium-bodied, nicely textured, and charming. It shows the more mid-weight style of the vintage, yet has rounded, pleasure-bent texture and should keep for 5-7 years.

Jacques Perrin - Vinifera
La bouche présente un profil articulé au fruité assez intense en deux séquences : à une attaque souple et charnue succède une assise tannique au caractère présentement un peu strict.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW - Wine Advocate
Deep garnet purple in color, the 2017 Vrai Canon Bouché is a blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc and was aged for 12-14 months in French oak barrels, 40% new. It opens with oaky notes of cedar and cloves on the nose over a core of baked plums, raisin cake and stewed cherries plus a waft of wild sage. Medium-bodied, the palate has a chewy, rather rustic texture with racy acid and just enough fruit, finishing a little hard. Drinking Window : 2020 - 2028

Sanguin, bouche douce, légère, tanins fondus, gourmand, joli fruit, encore marqué par des arômes fermentaires, mais un toucher de bouche assez voluptueux.14/20
