Allegrini was founded in Fumane in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, a land of ancient, noble traditions. While historical records trace the Allegrini Family back to the 16th century, it has been producing wine for generations and is at the forefront of the development and promotion of the Valpolicella in support of the culture and identity of its own territory. La Poja is the name of a specific 2,5ha-plot located on the top of La Grola's vineyard. Here, the Corvina's grapes benefit from a perfect micro-climate and give birth to a beautiful eponymous wine. After 4 years of ageing, the wine is fresh and crispy and ready to reveal itself. 2017 vintage 2017 has been a strange vintage, with media reports contradicting the reality on the ground in our wine growing areas. Our vineyards completely escaped frost and hailstorms, and while rainfall was lower than average, it was still within the norm. The dry and breezy climate, with wide variations in day-night temperatures in the final few weeks, enabled the grapes to fully express their varietal aromas in addition to ensuring their excellent health.
