The Château Rahoul is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has classic, tertiary bouquet that is mild mannered and does not want to create a fuss. The palate is medium-bodied, soft and approachable with "pillow-y" tannins and plenty of tarry dark fruit on the finish. Not bad for the vintage, although not particularly exciting either.
